Getting a GRiP on how we can
benefit the world around us

FY17 was our first year of the GSDU Responsible Business Program (GRiP) and we’ve already made huge strides in our mission to have positive impacts on society and environment.

Here are some of the highlights:

  • Our newly-launched Commemoration Days allow us to celebrate a single event all across GSDU building a sense of togetherness across geographically-distant offices. In this report we’ve highlighted International Women’s Day, Earth Overshoot Day, and World Standards Day, but we celebrated many more in all 5 Pillars of GRiP.
  • We’ve launched our first employee network, the Gender Network. This aims to bring together employees of all genders to discuss gender-based issues facing us, and come up with solutions to improve outcomes.
  • We’ve hosted over 50 schools-outreach events as part of our Global Cause: The Year of Children. Through the Global Cause we aimed to get the entire GSDU working toward the same charitable outcome – even though we partner with diverse local charities and community groups.
  • We’re incredibly proud that we’ve achieved a steady reduction in our global carbon footprint since 2015, through innovative facilities projects as well as employee outreach and education.
  • Through all of these actions, our GSDU employees have had significant positive impacts on the Sustainable Development Goals, and we look forward to effecting even greater benefits for our communities and our planet over the coming year!

It’s thanks to our insightful GRiP Steering Committee, and dedicated GRiP Country Teams, that we’ve launched such a successful responsible business program, and thanks to the collective determination of all of our employees that we’ve been able to build it into an enduring and impactful program.

We are excited to continuing to build a #LifeLessOrdinary across Fujitsu GSDU!
